The servers’ tips were subject to deductions for customers who left without paying, they didn’t receive overtime to which they were entitled, and they had to pay for uniforms. After approximately twenty employees were deposed and distilled thousands of time-cards into an easily understandable format, the team representing the wronged workers were able to settle the case.
